I never cared much for chamber music until I heard the Pacifica play Beethoven's Opus 132. Wow!!! I've since heard several versions of Opus 132, but none of them come close to the Pacifica.

My wife and I just heard you last night perform three Beethoven string quartets in Columbia, MD. Stunning! Now I know why all the comments about you are so laudatory. Congratulations, too, on you taking the place of the Guarneri Q in New York. Will you be making recordings of the Beethoven string quartets?

The all-Mendelssohn concert presented at the Music@Menlo series on July 21, 2009 was beyond superb. I have been going to string quartet concerts for over 55 years yet found myself sitting at the edge of my chair with anticipation of the Quartet's fabulous interpretations of the Ops 12 & 13. Thanks.
